Old Capitol Criterium
Sunday – April 29, 2018
Online registration available through USA Cycling. On-site registration will be available and closes 20 minutes prior to each race.
Entry Fee: $30 all categories, except Juniors who race free (sponsored by River Products). Valid USA Cycling license required, one-day USA Cycling licenses available at registration. $10 for second race of the day. $5 additional fee for day-of-race registrations (except juniors, and second race of the day entrants).

Back for 2017, we’re returning to the original course. The course retains its classic characteristics, as a challenging 1-kilometer loop with one major climb and a fast descent around the University of Iowa pentacrest in downtown Iowa City.

The Old Capitol Criterium is proud to continue the tradition of offering FREE Kids Races for children ages 9 and under on Sunday. With 2 course options for little riders of all sizes, to register your child, please stop by registration prior to noon to sign a waiver.
Course Info – 4 blocks
Start will be on the corner of Clinton & Washington Streets in front of
Pancheros. Riders will travel on Clinton Street, right onto Iowa Avenue, right
onto Dubuque Street, right onto Washington Street, and finish on
Washington Street under the finish banner. (see map above)

Stone Creamery. Riders will travel on Washington Street, and finish under
the finish banner. 1-block riders will start AFTER the 4-block riders have
passed. (see map above)
